2. Local Recording & Data Privacy

Reme operates primarily as a local-first application with strong emphasis on user privacy. We implement the following data handling principles:

  • All meeting recordings, login credentials, and personal information are stored locally on your device
  • Local data is encrypted using industry-standard encryption algorithms
  • No automatic data collection or transmission occurs during local recording
  • You maintain full control over your local data and can delete it at any time
  • We do not track user behavior or collect analytics during local operations
  • Your meeting content remains completely private unless you choose to use AI features

3. AI Feature Usage & Cloud Processing

When you opt to use AI-powered features, certain data processing occurs in our cloud infrastructure. Here's what you need to know:

  • Audio/video data is temporarily uploaded for AI processing only when you explicitly request AI features
  • Data transmission uses TLS 1.3 encryption protocol
  • Cloud processing is performed on secure, isolated infrastructure
  • Uploaded data is automatically deleted after processing (maximum retention: 24 hours)
  • We maintain detailed access logs for security auditing
